William Smith: 2013 – 2014 Women’s College Squash Season Preview

William Smith College Geneva, NY — After winning the 2013 Epps Cup, the William Smith Herons are now shooting for a berth in the C Division. “We’re going to be a young and enthusiastic squad!” announces head coach Chip Fishback. The team will be down four starters, who all competed in the top five. Fortunately for the Herons, they have a large incoming class. Allie Rubin of the Abington Friends School is expected to play in the top three, and Phoebe Carlisle (Westover School), Brooke Hayes (Kingswood-Oxford School), and Delaney Teceno (Tabor Academy) will be fresh faces in the middle of  the order. Captain Nellie Lindecke returns from abroad and will likely play in the bottom third, as will newcomer Lauren Randaccio of the Nichols School. Among the returning players who competed at last season’s National Team Championships, only one player — Hannah Meyer — is a senior, so the new players will be able to gain experience early on that should set the team up for success in the coming seasons.
