Georgetown: 2013 – 2014 Women’s College Squash Season Preview

Georgetown University Washington, DC — For the past few seasons, Georgetown has been a mainstay in the Epps Cup at the Women’s National Team Championships. The Hoyas captured the cup in 2011 and won the consolation finals this past season. In the tournament they lost to St. Lawrence, but won their final two matches against Vassar and Johns Hopkins to finish 29th in the rankings. This season, Georgetown plans to rise in the rankings. If they intend to regain their spot as the top women’s club team they will need to surpass Boston College and Virginia. To assist with this task, eight new players will be joining the Hoyas’ line-up, many of whom have prep school squash experience. Georgetown faces UVA twice during the regular season, once each semester, which will serve as a great test for the young squad.
