Job Opening: Full-Time Squash Professional
Location: Rye, New York
The Club: The Apawamis Club, founded in 1890, is a private country club located in Rye,
New York. Along with indoor and outdoor dining it boasts an 18 hole golf course, 7 tennis courts, 3 paddle courts, swimming pools and world class squash facilities consisting of 5 singles courts and 2 doubles courts.
Position Summary: The Squash Professional will be joining a high-level team of coaches and must be willing to work as part of a team, be enthusiastic, reliable, respectful and have great communication skills. The Professional’s responsibilities may include, but not be limited to, teaching lessons and clinics to both junior and adult players of all abilities, Pro Shop administration, general membership communication and to assist the Director of Squash.
The squash program at Apawamis is known for both its immense junior program as well as a large doubles program. The club hosts one of the largest Doubles events in the country – The Briggs Cup benefitting City Squash – as well as several member/guest events, junior
tournaments and annual Club Championships.
Compensation: Commensurate to the applicants experience, an attractive package
including salary, hourly lesson rate and 401k.
