Washington, DC — Georgetown has identified Johns Hopkins as one of their key matches of the season. Co-captain Betsy Johnson explains that, “We have had a number of competitive matches with JHU during the past few seasons.” Last season, the Hoyas edged out Johns Hopkins by a single match — twice. In fact, the Hoyas were consistently clutch, winning all four of their 5-4 matches. Looking forward, Johnson says that the team’s goal is “to continue to build on the progress we made last year in strengthening our entire ladder.” Georgetown relied on their bottom two-thirds of their ladder last season. If the top three spots can increase their win percentage, the team will see close wins turn into decisive victories. The Hoyas lost two players to graduation, but they have a core of younger players who can make an impact for years to come.
