ussquashdoublesPhiladelphia, PA — For the fifth year in a row, the Intercollegiate Doubles Championships will be held as a part of the Delaware Investments U.S. OpenOctober 9-11, in Philadelphia.

The 2015 iteration welcomes first-time host Philadelphia Cricket Club, where the finals will take place Sunday, October 11. Another first in 2015 will be the first day of match play taking place alongside U.S. Open qualifying matches at perennial hosts Racquet Club of Philadelphia with matches also hosted at Germantown Cricket Club.

The 2014-15 Intercollegiate Doubles marked the largest edition of the tournament to date, with the 2015-16 iteration set to continue the growing popularity of and participation in collegiate doubles.

Last year, Princeton’s Maria Elena Ubina successfully defended both her mixed title with Sam Kang in what was the largest mixed draw to date, and her women’s title with Olivia Fiechter. On the men’s side Rochester’s Neil Cordell and Mario Yanez made history for the Yellowjackets winning the first national squash title in the school’s history.
