Chestnut Hill, MA — Boston College ended last season on a positive note. After a hard-fought 4-5 loss to St. Lawrence in the Epps Cup consolation semi-finals, the Eagles bounced back with a decisive 9-0 win over Beantown rivals Northeastern.
Northeastern and Wellesley should be significant matches for the Eagles this season. “We are looking forward to this season and have scheduled several matches in the Boston area. We hope to set up matches with other teams that are coming to play in Boston as well,” says captain Jen Noesen.
The BC women have split off from the men’s club team. “We now each have our own program which is exciting and will really allow both programs to move to the next level,” Noesen explains. The Eagles have been holding their own against D Division varsity programs, and having their own program may allow them to follow in the footsteps of fellow club team Georgetown and make a real run for the Epps Cup title.
