Amherst: 2011 – 2012 Men’s College Squash Season Preview

Amherst, MA — Amherst is aiming high this season despite losing their top three players from last year. The Jeffs are looking to return to the B Division, which they last played in during the 2008-2009 season. But the Jeffs aren’t just content to move up a division: they are shooting to be back among the top teams in Hoehn Cup play.

Amherst has five new first-year players this season. They are Jake Albert of Taft, Scott DeSantis of Noble and Greenough, Max Kardon of Weston High, Peter Mack of Tabor, and Alex Southmayd of Groton.

The Jeffs will host the Individual Championships this year, and the courts have new maple floors as well as new scoreboards. The team also plans to travel to sunny San Diego during winter break and would love to head abroad if league rules change.
