2011 Men’s College Squash Video: Yale and Trinity #3s

Hartford, CT — In January, the Yale Bulldogs visited Trinity College for a much anticipated showdown between the number 2 and number 1 ranked men’s squash programs in the nation.

The two squads have become regular opponents with each of their meetings having very high stakes. At the 2010 and 2011 Men’s National Team Championship finals, the teams faced off. In both matches, Trinity escaped with a victory, including a dramatic win in last season’s championship.  With the match tied at 4-4, Trinity’s Chris Binnie defeated Yale’s Richard Dodd in front of a packed gallery of fans.

During the January meeting, Dodd and Trinity’s Andres Vargas played in the match at the number 3 position. Vargas captured the match in 4 games (11-9, 12-14, 11-6, and 12-10).  To say the match was long may be an understatement.  Below is video of game 4, which took over 25 minutes to play!
