First 2017-2018 CSA Team Rankings Released

The College Squash Association has released the first regular season rankings for the 2017-2018 season. Rankings will be released every two weeks, reflecting results from match play through that point in the season.

The most significant change on both the men’s and women’s rankings came for Dickinson College after the teams both had strong openings to their seasons. Dickinson captured a 7-2 win over the University of Virginia men’s team to help secure their new position. While the Dickinson men had a 5-4 loss to Franklin & Marshall, Virginia defeated Franklin and Marshall 5-4, positioning Dickinson just ahead of both teams at the No. 15 ranking. This represents an upward move of seven positions from their preseason No. 22 position, and is the first ever top-20 ranking for the team.

The Dickinson women moved from preseason No. 23 to a new ranking of No. 18, also a new high for the program. The rise was propelled by a tight 5-4 win over preseason No. 18 Franklin & Marshall.
