South Hadley, MA — On the weekend of January 20th – 22nd, the 2017 Pioneer Valley Invitational was hosted by Amherst College, Mount Holyoke College, and Smith College.
On the second day of the three-day event, Mount Holyoke hosted Colby. In the match at the #1 position, Devin Mullaney (Colby) and Brandy Williamson (Mount Holyoke) played.t Mullaney won the match in four games ( 9-11, 11-8, 11-4, and 11-6).
Colby captured the team match, 6-3.
At the Pioneer Valley Invitational, Mount Holyoke lost to Colby and Wesleyan. Colby went 3-2 at the event with victories over Mount Holyoke, Wesleyan, and Smith.
Colby won the Epps Cup (D Division) at the Women’s College Squash Association National Team Championships and finished the season ranked 25th. Mount Holyoke concluded the season ranked 27th in the nation.
