The upcoming 2018-2019 season offers a chance for the Haverford Women’s Squash team to achieve something the team has not accomplished in 10 years: finish within the top 30 of the CSA team rankings. The Fords finished right at Number 30 last year, their highest since 2009, and they have high hopes that they will better that mark by the end of this season. Their goal is to build on the improvement shown last year, but they will have to stay focused, confident, and composed in order to reach those new heights. They will have to do so without graduated senior Isabelle Gotuaco, who tied the program mark for career victories in her final match playing for Haverford. Leading the way will be top returners Kaitlin Reese, who already has 21 wins to her name in only two seasons, and Number 2 player Madeleine Hager. Also joining the seven returning starters will be three newcomers, filling out what Head Coach Niki Clement hopes will be a formidable lineup in 2019. Haverford has a home-and-home series with budding rival Vassar and will also meet Mount Holyoke and Bard at the Pioneer Valley Invitational in its quest for a new program-high ranking.
