Don’t let Franklin & Marshall Men’s Squash team’s record fool you. They played one of the toughest schedules in the country last year, which likely paid off as they made it to the Summers Cup final, ultimately losing a tough 5-4 match. The final ranking of 18 shows that F&M can play tough, and they will look to continue that success into 2019. Head Coach Gavin Jones has this to say about his team: “We are looking to continue on our journey in strengthening our team culture while representing Franklin & Marshall College with Pride and Passion, while upholding our high standard of academic excellence.” That team culture should be well ingrained with the top eight members of the starting lineup from the team championships returning for another year. Joining that group and fighting for playing time will be Jones’s four recruits, making depth a strength of this squad. That C Division final loss was to Dickinson College, a conference rival, and the two teams will meet in the regular season to see if F&M can avenge the result. Other key regular season matchups include rankings-deciding tilts with Bates and Middlebury.
