Amherst, MA — On the weekend of January 15th – 17th, the 2016 Pioneer Valley Invitational was hosted by Amherst College, Mount Holyoke College, and Smith College.
On the first day of the three-day event, Dickinson College faced Hobart College. The match was played at Amherst College.
In the match at the #1 position, Josh Oakley (Hobart) played Abdelrahman Elsergany (Dickinson). Both first-year players, Oakley and Elsergany have had big impacts on their respective squads this season.
After losing the first game, Oakley captured the next three to win the match (7-11, 11-5, 11-9, and 11-8).
Hobart captured the team match, 8-1. At the event, Hobart went 3-1, while Dickinson went 1-3.
