The Drexel University Women’s Squash team has made a gradual march up the rankings reaching Number 10 for two straight years in 2016 and 2017. That all changed last year when Drexel broke through with a win in the Kurtz Cup championship final, clinching their highest end-of-season ranking in program history. Now with their sights set on a berth in the A Division bracket, they have a tall task that they seem primed and ready for. Losing Number 2 and 3 players Hayley Hughes and Ryan Morgan, the two women with the most career wins in program history, will certainly be a challenging obstacle. With that difficulty in mind, Head Coach John White did his best to reload with an incoming class of four student-athletes who hope to contribute as soon as they step on court for practice. The eight returning starters should be battle-tested and ready for Howe Cup competition. A repeat of the last three Kurtz Cup finals will take place between Dartmouth and Drexel early in the regular season, and then Drexel will take on Cornell and Columbia for a shot at a Top-8 spot.
