2017-2018 was a down season for Cornell Men’s Squash, and they will be excited about their prospects of bouncing back for this season. Part of the reason for that optimism will be the strength of their squad and the competition they will face within their own team for starting spots. Head Coach David Palmer’s team lost only two players to graduation in 2018, and he brings in six solid recruits who will compete right away for playing time. Headlining the group of first-years is Charles Culhane, who reached as high as Number 1 in the Boys Under-19 junior rankings before arriving on campus. Culhane and Co. will have strong leadership at the top of the ladder, as Andrew Muran and Perry Hanson return for the senior seasons for the Big Red. Cornell’s rejuvenated squad will look to jump back into the top half of the Hoehn Cup draw, but teams like Navy, Virginia, and Brown will not relinquish their spots without a fight.
