Second-year head coach Mike MacDonald enters the 2018-2019 season with high hopes for continued success. In his first year, he piloted the Camels to 12 wins and an improved end-of-year ranking by one place. “Coming off a strong season for the [our] team, their dedication to fitness will help take the team to the next level,” says MacDonald. Fitness will certainly be critical for Conn College’s four newcomers to the college game. These first-years, along with the seven returning starters from last year’s Team Championships, will have to step up as they look to replace the two players at the top of ladder. Top returner Michael Rodriguez was the NESCAC Men’s Squash Performer of the Week during their successful stretch run last season and will look to carry that momentum into this year. Fellow NESCAC competitors Hamilton, Wesleyan, and Tufts sit right around Conn College in the rankings and will jockey for positioning heading into the 2019 Conroy Cup.
