Vassar: 2018-2019 Women’s College Squash Season Preview

After a season in which they set a program record for wins in a single year, Vassar Women’s Squash will turn their sights this year to improving their national ranking. Doing so and matching last year’s success rate could be tough as they lose five of last year’s top eight players in their lineup.  Coach David Ames will try to fill those holes with his five incoming first-year players.  Through strategic scheduling, he will also hope that his young squad will feel comfortable adjusting to the college game, playing at home during three different regular season round robin weekends.  They will have a home-and-home series with top rival Haverford and will also look to take down one of their fellow Seven Sisters, Mount Holyoke.
