The Brown University Men’s Squash team and Coach Stuart LeGassick brought home some meaningful hardware after the 2017-2018 season, a trend of success that they will hope to continue this season. First, Brown earned the CSA’s Men’s Sportsmanship Award, the Sloane Award, for the first time since 1997. Pairing fair play with on-court success, the Brown men also clinched the 2018 Barnaby Award given to the team that has improved the most in the CSA rankings from one year to the next. While they lose their Number 1 player, Thomas Blecher, to graduation, Brown will aim for a Top 10 ranking with 8 returning starters and 4 incoming first-years. In that effort, they will be battling an increasingly competitive group of teams ranked 9 through 16, including George Washington and Ivy League peers Yale and Cornell.
