Princeton: 2016 – 2017 Men’s College Squash Season Preview

Princeton University Princeton, NJ — Princeton is a young team. In fact, of the seven starters returning from the 2016 Men’s College Squash Association National Team Championships, only one player is a senior this season. The young squad will be joined by four freshmen, two of whom represented their countries at this summer’s World Junior Championships.  The experience of last season should benefit the Tigers. If the three regular season 5-4 losses had gone Princeton’s way, they may has snuck back into the Potter Cup. Head coach Sean Wilkinson realizes that all matches this season are important. “The league is amazingly deep, and you can’t count anyone out, or in,” explains Wilkinson. Nevertheless, “Our goal is to win the Ivy League and get back into the Potter Division,” he adds. If the Tigers can capitalize on close matches and avoid injuries that have plagued them the past few seasons, look for Princeton to regain their position in the Potter Cup.
