ussquashdoublesPhiladelphia, PA — For the sixth year in a row, the Intercollegiate Doubles Championships will be held as a part of the Delaware Investments U.S. Open, October 7th – 9th, in Philadelphia, PA.

The intercollegiate doubles championships, which were restarted in 1988 with help from Keen Butcher and Rusty Ball, will celebrate their twenty-ninth consecutive men’s tournament, sixth year of women’s competition, and fifth year of mixed doubles competition.

This year marks the 37th edition of the collegiate doubles event, and it will be presented by the U.S. Jesters Club.

The tournament will be hosted by three clubs: the Racquet Club of Philadelphia, the Philadelphia Cricket Club, and the Germantown Cricket Club.

There is no entry fee for the tournament, and all participants receive free General Admission tickets to the U.S. Open on October 8th and 9th.

Last year, 9 schools were represented at the event: Drexel, Haverford, Franklin & Marshall, Navy, NYU, Penn, Princeton, Rochester, and St. Lawrence. Navy’s Senen Ubina and Bill Kacergis won the men’s title, Princeton’s Maria Elena Ubina and Olivia Fiechter captured the women’s title, and Penn’s George Lemmon and Anaka Alankamony won the mixed doubles crown.
