Boston College: 2014 – 2015 Men’s College Squash Season Preview

Boston CollegeBoston, MA –After winning the Chaffee Cup (E Division) at Team Championships in 2012 and in 2013, the Boston College Eagles fell just short in 2014. The team concluded last season ranked 33rd and finished second in the Chaffee Cup. The team improved throughout last season. After losing twice to Northeastern during the regular season (3-6 and 2-7), they lost in the Chaffee Cup finals 4-5. The Eagles graduated five seniors from last year’s squad, but they are optimistic that that their five new players will fill the gaps. According to co-captain Sam Henderson, “Our goal this year is to return to the top of the Chaffee Cup after our 2nd place finish last year. We have several strong additions to the team as well as a solid returning lineup after losing 5 seniors to graduation.” Boston College is planning a regular season road trip to Pennsylvania to face Haverford, Swarthmore, and Lehigh. The team will also face tough competition from Beantown rivals Boston University, MIT, and Tufts. BC will need its new players to step up if they are to fulfill their goal of winning the Chaffee Cup.
