Evanston, IL — The Northwestern Wildcats concluded last season with a 7th place finish in the Serues Cup (F Division) and a ranking of 46th. This season, the team wants to continue its growth as a program. After only losing their top player from last season’s Team Championships to graduation, the Wildcats are returning eight players. The team is expecting to add players throughout the line-up, including at least one player in the top 3. Northwestern’s strength last season came from the bottom 3 in their ladder, who won 67% of matches. The top 3 and middle 3 won 43% and 62% of their matches, respectively. The team will need to improve its win percentage at the top of the ladder to improve in the rankings. The team is expanding its schedule and heading to Boston during the regular season to face new teams. Northwestern hopes a stronger schedule will put them in position for a strong Team Championships.
