Washington, DC — The Georgetown men concluded last season with a fifth place finish in the Conroy Cup (D Division) at Team Championships. Last season, many successful club programs, including Bucknell, Stanford, Virginia, and Johns Hopkins, were in the mix for the title of top club team in the nation and the Conroy Cup. This season, the Hoyas want to surpass Bucknell and Stanford to become the top club. Their quest will be challenging after losing three players to graduation and having two players studying abroad during the fall semester. The team is returning Colton Kempf, the Hoyas’ treasurer. Last season he went 10-0. According to co-captain Nate Reilly, “Georgetown is excited about the addition of four freshmen with the potential to turn into excellent players in the coming years. ” As long as the Hoyas stay organized, meet deadlines, show up for matches, and incorporate their new players into the line-up, they could be in the hunt for the top club position.
