Annandale-on-Hudson, NY — With the commencement of the 2014 – 2015 college squash season, the Bard Raptors begin a new era. Craig Thorpe-Clark is taking over as the program’s coach. Thorpe-Clark brings a wealth of college squash experience to Annadale-On-Hudson. He coached the Vassar men and women and the Penn men for years. The Raptors, who did not compete in Team Championships last season, are entering a new phase. According to Thorpe-Clark, the team is welcoming “the addition of several new players to the program with significant competition experience. Blended with several enthusiastic returners and some new faces, we are looking to improve and add extra depth to the line-up for the coming season.” The team will be focused on their Liberty League matches, especially against close neighbor Vassar. In addition, Bard always has competitive matches with Siena, another school in New York’s Hudson Valley, and the Raptors are looking forward to a match with Dickinson. Thorpe-Clark added that Bard is a “young co-ed team committed to improving and looking forward to testing their skills against all comers.”
