Williamstown, MA — Williams wants to move into the top 10 in the national rankings. Given that they only graduated a single player, #1 Alyssa Northrop, from their 2014 Team Championship line-up, they have the experience needed to make such a move. They will also be gaining 4 new players, which should make the roster very deep. The Ephs are planning a winter training trip to Santa Barbara, CA, which will be a relief from the cold of Williamstown. To make a move in the rankings, Williams will need to focus on close matches. The squad was 1 for 4 in 5-4 matches, losing to Drexel, Bates, and Middlebury. Eli O’Neil and Caroline Sawin, who is also a member of the Williams golf team, will lead the Ephs as senior co-captains. If last season can serve as the foundation for this year, movement up the rankings is a real possibility.
