Drexel: 2013 – 2014 Women’s College Squash Season Preview

Drexel University Philadelphia, PA — Expect last season’s most improved team to be even better this time around. Drexel won the Most Improved Team Award after climbing from 35th in the 2011-2012 season-ending rankings to 20th in 2012-2013. The team has only lost one starter to graduation, and they have three newcomers who are all expected to play in the top four. The newest Dragons come from around the world: Elisa Money hails from Canada, Mary Fung-A-Fat comes from Guyana, and Maria Diagama is from Colombia. Kelsey Engman, who has professional playing experience and who coached at Columbia, also joins the program as assistant coach, taking over from Sean Wilkinson, who is the new men’s head coach at Princeton. The Dragons are  eyeing a possible training trip to the West Coast, and they will be playing a demanding schedule. “Watch for the team work ethic, team spirit and best of all loving this game of squash!” says head coach John White.
