Siena: 2013 – 2014 Men’s College Squash Season Preview

Siena College Loudonville, NY — Siena’s goal is to improve ten spots in the rankings. Since they finished 56th last season and competed in the Hawthorn Cup, that would bump them up to the mid-40s and the F Division. Siena has a plan to help bring this goal to fruition. Coach Steve Kuzman is planning an “aggressive, comprehensive dual match schedule of 18 to 20 dual matches accomplished by attending five weekend round robins featuring new trips to the Naval Academy, Boston, and Baltimore.” Out of those matches, Bard, Colgate, Vassar, and Ithaca will be crucial opponents.  “They are similar programs and our closest rivals,” Kuzman explains. Siena is also planning a winter break trip to Florida, and the college has recently added a women’s club squash team, which hopes to begin competing during the 2014-2015 season. Siena has been one of the most well-organized club teams in recent years, and that consistency and organization should serve the program well as they look to expand and improve.
