Colby: 2012 – 2013 Men’s College Squash Season Preview

Waterville, ME — Summers Cup finalists Colby are seeking the title that eluded them last season. The Mules fell 4-5 to GW in the C Division title match last season. The team may have graduated their number 1 player from last season, but don’t expect the name at the top of ladder to change. “CJ Smith ’16 is poised to play #1 for Colby in his first year to keep the family record alive,” reports head coach Sakhi Khan. “Samantha Smith ’10 played four year at #1 for Colby women’s squash. Harry Smith ’12 played four years at #1 for Colby men’s squash.” Yuga Kuda, Greg Ho, and James Grote will join CJ Smith as first-year players on the Mules’ ladder. Bowdoin, Amherst, Wesleyan, Hamilton, and of course George Washington will be key matches along the Mules’ road towards the Summers Cup. Will Sullivan will captain the squad. “Colby Squash is one of the best squash programs around where you’ll have the time of your life getting to the next level,” Khan tells prospective players.
