Stanford: 2011 – 2012 Men’s College Squash Season Preview

Stanford, CA — Stanford was the top club team in the nation last year. They finished the season with a 9 and 9 record and were ranked 24th in the nation.

The Cardinal finished last in the Summers Cup, and this season the team will look to stay in the C Division. Stanford has lost three players from last season’s top 9, but Wyatt Hong will be returning to the team after completing his military service in Korea.

While Stanford has had success as a club team, they aren’t afraid of some competition. In fact, they welcome it. “We are trying to help expand West Coast squash,” explains head coach Mark Talbott.

“We have the most fun in the sun,” Talbott adds.
