Kenyon: 2011 – 2012 Men’s College Squash Season Preview

Gambier, OH — Danilo Lobo Dias, who is returning to the Kenyon line-up, offers the following outlook on his team’s upcoming season:

“Kenyon will have a very busy month of November. Over the span of four weeks, the Lords will host the Kenyon Round Robin, travel to Detroit to play Northwestern and Western Ontario, play Georgetown and Navy
at the Navy Round Robin, and drive down the road to face Denison on November 17. Though these four weeks of the season will be a test for Kenyon, the Lords are very excited to challenge teams that are ranked above them.

Nicky Lenard, a member of last year’s Episcopal Academy squad that won three consecutive National High School Team Championships, highlights the recruiting class of 2015. Lenard will be competing with three-year starter, Spencer Carlson, for the top spot for the Lords. Newcomers Nick Rogers and Jeremy Leiser-Mitchell are also expected to play a major role in the bottom three of the lineup.

Ian Sly, squash professional at the Tavern Club in Cleveland, will be making a trip to Gambier every Saturday to coach Kenyon’s players. With the help of Sly, Kenyon hopes to retake the Chaffee Cup after winning the title back in 2010.”
