Boston College: 2011 – 2012 Men’s College Squash Season Preview

Chestnut Hill, MA — Boston College has been a consistent performer over the past two seasons. Last season and the one before it, the Eagles finished 37th in the national rankings, right in the middle of the Chaffee Cup (E Division). This year the team, which is entirely student-run, is looking to move up into the D Division and compete for the Conroy Cup. The Eagles have expanded their schedule to 14 matches, adding Bryant and Connecticut College. They are also planning to add two days of conditioning practice to their training schedule.

“We are a growing team with a solid young core of five rising sophomores,” says team contact Paul Taylor. During the off-season Taylor launched a fund-raising committee, so the program is expanding on multiple levels. With all but one player returning, they should be able to fill their roster and continue to grow.
