Georgetown: 2011 – 2012 Men’s College Squash Season Preview

Washington, DC — Georgetown is vying to be the top club team in the nation. Last season just one club finished ahead of the Hoyas — Stanford — and a deeper ladder makes Georgetown a viable threat for the top 25.

The Hoyas have lost their top two players from last season, but captain Patrick Trousdale, who played number 2 in the past, has returned from study abroad. Sophomore transfer Nick Kourides is expected to play in the top 3, and James Callelo, a first-year player from Taft, is expected to play in the top 5. Brunswick’s James Yaccobucci is expected to find a place in the bottom 3.

“We have a great group of guys and a healthy approach to the sport,” says Charles Bolton, who played number 3 for the Hoyas last season.
