Lewiston, ME — On the weekend prior to Thanksgiving, Penn visited Maine for matches with Bates, Bowdoin, and Colby.
Below is a video, captured by Maine Squash, of the #1 match between Bates’ Nessrine Ariffin and Penn’s Anaka Alankamony.
The pair played a four-game match, which Alankamony won (11-9, 11-8, 10-12, and 11-8). Penn won the team match, 9-0.
Bates finished the first semester at 3-2, recording victories over Conn, Wesleyan, and Hamilton. Penn concluded the fall semester at 3-0, with victories over Bates, Bowdoin, and Colby.
Both Bates and Penn will return to play in early January. Each school is headed to northern California for a winter training trip.
