Colgate: 2014 – 2015 Men’s College Squash Season Preview

Colgate UniversityHamilton, NY — With only three players returning from the 2013 – 2014 Team Championships ladder, Colgate will have an uphill battle this season. According to co-captain Matthew Swain, the Raiders “received a plethora of new players and our returning players have all improved greatly.” In fact, Colgate is expecting eight players to join the squad this season. The team is planning to play more regular season matches, which includes traveling to more away matches. This will greatly benefit the Raiders.  Entering his senior campaign, co-captain Jack Eiel will be captaining his third Colgate squash team. According to Swain, “Eiel has been a captain since his sophomore year and has really brought the team together over the years. He has worked endlessly and tirelessly to make our team better. He has been a diplomat and always a scholar. He is also premed and has always bonded the team in the face of adversity.” Colgate will need to come together as a team to break into the top-30.
