2022-2023 Season Preview 

  • Hobart and William Smith brought home some major hardware in 2022 with both teams claiming divisional championships at the end of the season. The teams continue to grow and develop under head coach Pat Cosquer’s guidance and are aiming for even higher rankings in 2023.
  • William Smith’s likely top two players will be new to the program this season, meaning the veterans will provide some crucial depth as they push for a Top-16 position.
  • Both teams welcome talented transfers to the team, one of whom should be a key contributor at the top of the lineup for the Hobart men. Hobart has one of the deepest rosters that it has had in several years and should compete for strong positioning in the Summers (C) Division.

  • Haverford’s teams finished the 2021-2022 season on a high note by eclipsing some familiar foes at the team championships. 2023 presents a new opportunity to reach new heights.
  • The women’s team welcomes two newcomers to fill two starting spots that were vacated by graduating seniors. They will likely fight for D Division glory in February.
  • The Haverford men return five of their top six players on their ladder and add some key recruits who should factor into the system right away.

  • Harvard University has won the last seven Howe Cups and the last three Potter Cups, so expectations will once again be very high up in Cambridge.
  • Despite the tradition of excellence over the past several years which should bolster the teams’ plans, there are big shoes to fill in the lineups due to prominent graduations.
  • Two-time National Champion Victor Crouin and Two-time National Finalist Hana Moataz have both moved on to the professional ranks, while All-Americans Samuel Scherl and Amina Yousry have graduated too. The mantle will now be passed to Marina Stefanoni, Marwan Tarek, and others, whose accolades speak quite a bit for themselves.

  • Georgetown reached the final of the Epps Cup last season but were unlucky to lose out on the championship on the final day. With the team additions, a top-20 position is in their sights.
