Hobart College Statesmen and William Smith College Herons
2022-2023 Season Preview
- Hobart and William Smith brought home some major hardware in 2022 with both teams claiming divisional championships at the end of the season. The teams continue to grow and develop under head coach Pat Cosquer’s guidance and are aiming for even higher rankings in 2023.
- William Smith’s likely top two players will be new to the program this season, meaning the veterans will provide some crucial depth as they push for a Top-16 position.
- Both teams welcome talented transfers to the team, one of whom should be a key contributor at the top of the lineup for the Hobart men. Hobart has one of the deepest rosters that it has had in several years and should compete for strong positioning in the Summers (C) Division.

Quote from Coach: “Coming off of an exciting Walker Cup title last season, the 2022-2023 William Smith Herons have reloaded and are the deepest and most talented team in the program’s 24-year history. The Herons look forward to a challenging and fun schedule, which includes a Winter Break Training Trip to Florida and several compelling home matches. The 2022-2023 Hobart College Statesmen will look to use the momentum created by a successful title run for the Conroy Cup last season to propel them forward as they look to capture the 2023 Summers Cup. The Statesmen are motivated by a challenging and fun schedule, which includes a Winter Break Training Trip to Florida and several compelling home matches”.
