Purdue: 2011 – 2012 Men’s College Squash Season Preview

West Lafayette, IN — Purdue will be among the teams competing in the first major tournament of the season, the Jester’s Mid-America College Championships.

Only one player from last year’s squad has graduated, and three new players will be challenging for places on the team. Returning from a long absence due to injury, Carlos Sandoval should compete for a spot in the top 3. Newcomers DH Lee and Sahil Kothary will be competing for spots in the middle and bottom 3, respectively.

Among the team’s many objectives for the season are working on moving up in Purdue’s  sports hierarchy and getting involved in the Purdue community.

“We will try our best to promote the sport while making a solid effort to improve the standards of the team,” says returning player and team leader Rudra Shriram.
