George Washington: 2011 – 2012 Women’s College Squash Season Preview

Washington, DC — After winning the Walker Cup in 2010, George Washington moved up into the B Division last season. The Colonials’ 15th-place finish tied for the best in program history.

GW will try to carry their momentum from last season into this one. The Colonials have graduated two players from the bottom 3 and have three new players joining the team. The new players are sophomore transfer Adrianna Calderon, who hails from Bogotá, Colombia; Charlotte Merison, a graduate of Taft; and Margeaux Abrams, an alum of Lower Merion High School.

The Colonials will open their season at home against cross-town rivals Georgetown. GW will be busy before the winter break, with Drexel, Haverford, Connecticut College, Trinity, Bowdoin, and Princeton all on the slate before January.
