2021-2022 SEASON PREVIEW
- The Stanford women will be playing this season with an extra level of joy after the Stanford administration reinstated the program’s varsity future before it expired this summer.
- Despite that relief, Head Coach Mark Talbott’s team will be challenged this season, mainly due to low numbers on his roster. Some key recruits went elsewhere after the University’s initial announcement, so the team will be short on depth.
- The Cardinal do return five starters from the team that finished ranked 6th in 2020, including All-America selection Elena Wagenmans, meaning they will be battle tested and a tough out all season long.
