Amherst, MA — On the weekend of February 3rd – 5th, the 2017 NESCAC Championship was hosted by Amherst College.
On the second day of the three-day event, Middlebury met Colby in the quarterfinals. In the match at the #2 position, Jacob Ellen (Middlebury) and Patrick McCarthy (Colby) played. Ellen won the match in three games (11-6, 11-8, and 11-4). Middlebury advanced to the semifinals and fell to Trinity, the eventual NESCAC champions.
Middlebury won the Summers Cup (C Division) at the Men’s College Squash Association National Team Championships and finished the season ranked 17th. Colby concluded the season ranked 23rd in the nation.
