Southern California: 2015 – 2016 Men’s College Squash Season Preview

Southern California, University ofLos Angeles, CA — After not competing in Team Championships last season, USC is in the midst of a rebuilding effort. The Trojans have three returning players but are expecting ten new players this season. According to co-captain Austin Cheng, “After losing most of our lineup last year to graduation, we were expecting this to be a rebuilding year. But due to an influx of extremely talented freshmen and new players joining the team, we’re hoping to perform well at the Minnesota RR, West Coast RR and Nationals. We have a few nationally reputed players joining our ranks and with more depth in the middle and bottom of our lineup, we are confident of doing well this upcoming season. We also have a new coach, Daniel McElvaine, which will help us immensely.” The team is striving to win the Hawthorn Cup (G Division) at this season’s Team Championships.
