Evanston, IL — Northwestern made it to the semifinals of the Serues Cup last season, and they met Colgate in the play-off match for 3rd place in the F Division. The match was close, but the 5-4 decision didn’t go the Wildcats’ way. “Colgate defeated us at Nationals last year, and we hope to defeat them this year when we play them during the regular season,” explains co-captain Peter Haun. The young squad has only lost one player to graduation, and more experience may be enough to tip the scales against the Raiders. Haun reports that “last year we had four freshmen enter the top 9, and we are looking to recruit at least three more for the 2015 – 2016 season.” Northwestern dominated matches in the bottom third of the later, notching an impressive 0.875 percentage. This season, they’ll be looking to extend that success to the middle three ladder positions.
