New Haven, CT — Last season, injuries hurt the Yale Bulldogs. Two of their top three players were lost for the season. This season, their injured players are back and with only one player lost to graduation, expectations are high. The Bulldogs are expecting three new players in their ladder, including two with international tournament experience. As always, matches with Ivy League opponents, Rochester, St. Lawrence, and Trinity will be key for the Bulldogs. Yale will also continue to work with SquashHaven. The squad has made a positive impact with the non-profit, both on and off the courts. According to Associate Head Coach Pam Saunders, the “Bulldogs are coming out strong with the intention of winning the Ivy League and National Championship titles.” To accomplish these goals, Yale will need to improve on last season’s 1-2 record in 5-4 matches and increase its win percentage for the top-third of the ladder. With injured players returning and experienced newcomers, the Bulldogs’ goal could be in sight.
