Dickinson: 2014 – 2015 Women’s College Squash Season Preview

Dickinson CollegeCarlisle, PA — This fall, Dickinson College launches its varsity squash team. Head coach Chris Sachvie is leading the Red Devils. He states that, “The team goals are to work hard this fall and get some college squash experience so we can put ourselves in a good position to perform to our highest abilities at the Nationals in February. There is a great mix of underclassman and upperclassman; leadership on this new team should present itself quickly!” The squad will face a variety of established teams, including Georgetown, UVA, New York University, and Connecticut College. The Red Devils are excited to face Centennial Conference rival Haverford. To go along with the new team are new courts. Recently, Dickinson unveiled five new international courts. Casey Merbler may be the most excited member of the team suiting up for the Red Devils. As the team’s sole senior, she has been waiting three years to represent her school on the squash courts. With a new team, new courts, and a new coach, the future is bright for Dickinson squash.
