Haverford: 2014 – 2015 Women’s College Squash Season Preview

Haverford CollegeHaverford, PA — Haverford has captured the past two E Division titles. After just missing out on the final spot for the Epps Cup (D Division) last season, the Fords want to move higher in the rankings. To assist with that effort, head coach Niki Clement added matches with Dickinson, Fordham, and Northwestern to increase competition and prepare the team for the 2015 Women’s National Team Championships.  According to Clement, these matches “will be good tests for them.” With seven players returning from last season’s team championships, the Fords will have experience on their side. They improved throughout the season last year, demonstrated by an opening match 5-4 victory over NYU, and then a 7-2 victory against that same squad at team championships. With the addition of a graduate from Lawrenceville Academy, the team’s 2014 – 2015 season looks to be positive.
