Middlebury: 2014 – 2015 Women’s College Squash Season Preview

Middlebury CollegeMiddlebury, VT — The memory of John Illig will inspire the Middlebury Panthers this season. According to co-captain Anne Wymard, “With the season dedicated to John we hope to pay forward his legacy through exhibiting good sportsmanship and love of the game.” The team welcomes Mike Morgan, who will serve as the interim men’s and women’s squash coach this season. As Middlebury’s women’s tennis coach, Morgan is a familiar face to the squash team. The tennis and squash programs worked together on fitness programs over the past few seasons. The team is focused on NESCAC matches. The Panthers are expecting 5 first-year students to help fill the gaps left by the two graduates from last season. Before the start of the season, Middlebury plans to continue the Illig’s tradition of a hike in the Adirondacks. Look for Middlebury to be very motivated this season.
