College Squash Reminders (8/21/14): Schedules and Team Previews

Northampton, MA — On Wednesday, the e-mail below was sent to coaches and team contacts.

Dear College Squash Coaches and Team Leaders,

We hope you have had a pleasant summer and are excited as the new school year approaches. The competition across every level of both the women’s and men’s college game promises to be better than ever.

The CSA greatly appreciates your timely attention to the two matters below.

Teams should submit their proposed competitive schedule for the upcoming season for entry into the online system over the coming weeks. The deadline for submission is Friday, September 5, 2014. If your team’s full schedule is not yet set, please submit the most up-to-date one possible and adjustments will be made later.

The information for each match should include:

  • Date
  • Home Team/Away Team
  • If the match is being played at a third venue, please indicate the facility at which the match will be played
  • Time (only if decided)
  • All schedules should be submitted to Laurelle Holley, at laurelle.holley@ussquash.com

Currently scheduled round robin information, as communicated to the CSA, will be released by the end of this week in order to assist coaches with their scheduling. If you have not submitted information about a round robin scheduled at your facility, please fill out the below form (link in e-mail).

If your team has a new head coach, assistant coach, or team organizer for next season, please send those updates to dent.wilkens@ussquash.com to make sure the CSA has the most up-to-date information. We appreciate your assistance.

On Thursday, the e-mail below was sent to coaches and team contacts.

Coaches, Team Contacts, and SIDs,

As a reminder, please complete your team preview questionnaire. We will use the information submitted below to compose the preview. Feel free to respond informally, and we will polish your responses. Please note that we will only publish previews for teams that submit questionnaires.

Information about graduates and incoming players are used in the preseason rankings, so if you do not respond, we will assume your team will be weaker than it was last season. Additionally, you will be unable to appeal your preseason ranking based on new players.
