Brown: 2013 – 2014 Men’s College Squash Season Preview

Brown UniversityProvidence, RI — After a late regular season victory over Dartmouth, Brown claimed the final position in last season’s Hoehn Cup.  The Bears want to prove that they belong in the Hoehn Cup and improve their ranking this season. “Winning a first round match at the Nationals is a goal that the Brown squash captains have set for the team,” explains Chris Sachvie, Brown’s assistant coach.  Brown graduated three players last season, but the squad has six incoming players with high school squash experience. Brown recognizes that the competition will be fierce this season. They are focused on their matches with other squads fighting for positions in the B Division, such as Bates, Bowdoin, Drexel, Middlebury, Navy, and Williams. According to Sachvie, “Navy and Middlebury were two of the teams closest in ranking to us and were not on our regular season schedule last year. We look forward to those challenges.”
