Dartmouth: 2012 – 2013 Women’s College Squash Season Preview

Hanover, NH — After winning the Kurtz Cup in 2010, Dartmouth has spent the last two seasons in the A Division. The Big Green will be looking to maintain a spot in the hunt for the Howe Cup. The teams either side of them in last season’s rankings — Cornell and Stanford ahead, Brown and Williams behind — will be key matches for Dartmouth to stay in the A Division. The team only lost one starter to graduation and will gain four players who should have an impact across the ladder: Nina Scott, Lydie McKenzie, Tori Dewey, and Krystina Miles. Dartmouth College has made some adjustments to its academic calendar, and the Big Green squashers will now have a longer winter break to train and travel. The team also plans to do volunteer work in the Upper Valley region. “We are a tightly knit team and our players are all great friends off the squash court who spend most of their free time together,” says head coach Hansi Wiens.
