Johns Hopkins: 2012 – 2013 Women’s College Squash Season Preview

Baltimore, MD — Hopkins co-captain Jess Teng is excited about the Blue Jays’ prospects for this season.”We are sure that this year, our 4th year, will be the best one yet,” she reports. The team has increased and intensified its practice schedule, and they’re targeting fitness this year with the help of a coach. But as Teng explains, the Blue Jays are thinking beyond this season.  “We want to show everyone, especially our university, that we are serious contenders and that we are ready to play at varsity level within the near future. This year’s intake of new players is expected to reach at least 6 or 7 people and we are very excited to have our team grow by such a substantial number. We have a full schedule planned ahead including some challenging matches,” she says. Hopkins put up a great fight in the E Division title match last year and should continue their steady improvement into this season.
